Senior Regional Director of Education - Success Education Colleges - West Covina (Education)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Regional Director of Education provides strategic leadership and oversight of academic operations across multiple campuses within an assigned region. This role is responsible for ensuring academic quality, regulatory compliance, and the successful implementation of institutional policies and initiatives. The Senior Regional Director of Education partners with campus and corporate leadership to drive student success, faculty development, and continuous academic improvement. The Senior Regional Director of Education reports to the Corporate Director of Academic Operations for academic quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Provide leadership and direction to Campus Directors of Education and academic teams within the assigned region.
  • Oversee the implementation and consistent application of academic policies, procedures, and programs across campuses.
  • Ensure compliance with all accrediting bodies, state and federal regulatory agencies, and institutional standards.
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum and Compliance teams to support program development, evaluation, and improvement.
  • Monitor academic performance metrics (e.g., student retention, completion rates, faculty evaluations) and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Support faculty recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
  • Conduct regular campus visits and audits to assess instructional quality and operational consistency.
  • Lead regional academic meetings and serve as a liaison between campus leadership and corporate academic departments.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of strategic academic initiatives that align with institutional goals.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to campus academic leaders to build leadership capacity and promote accountability.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to provide flexible leadership, coaching and development to faculty members who have a variety of backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, and the public. Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Possesses clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Exhibit interpersonal skills including questioning, listening and showing concern and respect for others.
  • Demonstrated Computer literacy skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of career opportunities and the expectations of the industry or profession for entry level employees' skills and experience. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be flexible to meet schedules that include evening and possible weekend hours.
  • Travel 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in education related field or equivalent education and work experience required. Master's degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of three years' work experience in educational administration or management of educational programs.
  • Previous teaching experience in a Post-Secondary or proprietary career college preferred.
  • Experience in supervising instructors a plus.
  • Experience in institutional or programmatic accreditation or regulatory compliance is a plus.
