A Brief Overview

The Associate Director, Global Professional Relations & Education plays a strategic and key role in advancing Merz Aesthetics' global education strategy through the MAX (Merz Aesthetics Exchange) Ecosystem. This role drives the development and execution of digital learning initiatives, ensures global consistency in education delivery, and collaborates cross-functionally and with KOLs to drive innovation and impact across the professional education landscape.

What You Will Do

  • Education Strategy Implementation:
    • Refine and implement the MAX Ecosystem Roadmap in alignment with global business objectives.
    • Identify and assess emerging technologies (e.g., AI tools, gamification, Salesforce integration) to enhance the learning experience.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and the evolution of GPRE initiatives.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with Global KOL Network (GKN) members to drive educational innovation and global advocacy.
  • Temporary Employee Oversight:
    • Provide project-based oversight of contract employees and interns, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Global Enablement & Governance:
    • Maintain global governance framework, including SOPs, best practices, and compliance standards for the MAX LMS and when needed collaborate with cross functional teams to develop updates.
    • Partner with Regional and Global Digital teams to guide implementation of MAX strategies and ensure alignment.
    • Co-lead MAX Taskforce and Council meetings to align global and regional stakeholders translating KOL and stakeholder insights into actionable initiatives such as social media strategy and strategic content development.
    • Support the creation and continuous improvement of enablement materials and feedback mechanisms.
  • LMS Oversight:
    • Provide strategic oversight of the MAX LMS and guide regional teams through LMS implementation, training, and upskilling.
    • Offer expertise in digital platform operations—particularly during complex launches or escalations.
    • Oversee JIRA board management for content and platform requests, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
  • Content Strategy & Management:
    • Align global content development with brand and product strategies, integrating launches and campaigns into the MAX ecosystem.
    • Manage vendor relationships for content creation, delivery, and platform enhancements.
    • Ensure adherence to global content guidelines and maintain a centralized content inventory.
    • Audit MAX instances globally to assess content usage and promote best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Compliance, Digital, and Regional teams to streamline educational offerings and enhance learner experience.
    • Support global webinar execution, including speaker coordination, contracting, and post-event analytics (as needed).
  • Analytics & Continuous Improvement:
    • Define and track KPIs for MAX engagement in partnership with the Digital team.
    • Analyze user feedback and survey data to inform platform and content improvements.
    • Lead the lifecycle management of platform tools—evaluating when to implement, optimize, or sunset based on business value and user impact.
  • Operational & Administrative Support:
    • Manage vendor onboarding, contracting, and invoicing in accordance with Merz policies.
    • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to pilot and scale KOL-driven initiatives.
    • Track and report on budgets related to MAX initiatives.
    • Represent Merz Aesthetics at key industry events to strengthen partnerships, elevate the GPRE brand and to gather insights and strengthen KOL relationships (as needed).
    • Participate in ongoing planning and coordination meetings across GPRE, Digital, and vendor teams.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Medical Education, Marketing, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in medical education, digital learning platforms, or strategic marketing
  • Strong understanding of LMS platforms (preferably Docebo) and digital education tools

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (PhRMA, AdvaMed, FDA) is preferred.
