The Receptionist plays a critical role in delivering professional, responsive service to both Nelson Laboratories' clients and internal staff. As the first point of contact, this position is responsible for providing a professional and welcoming first impression to all visitors. The role also includes a variety of administrative tasks to support office operations.
Education and experience requirements:
Greet all clientele, interviewees, auditors, and other visitors at the front desk
Issue and manage temporary badges for guests and employees
Confirm, log, and track all visitors — from food/sample deliveries to executive-level clientele; VIPs, Auditors, Regulatory Personnel
Receive and facilitate incoming sample deliveries and promptly notify Lab Personnel
Provide backup phone coverage for the Customer Service Center
Assist clients with navigating and using the Nelson Labs secure customer portal
Job requirements:
Fully onsite presence required
Outstanding customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Physical requirements:
Must be able to stand 1% of the day and 99% sitting at a desk and using the computer. Heavy lifting is not required in this position.
