Unemployment Charge Analyst - Intermediate (Finance)



The Charge Analyst's primary responsibility is to analyze unemployment files, information stored on the PC and state issued benefit charge statements to determine correct payment of benefits. Responsibilities include:

What you will do

  • Works closely with in-house personnel, state agency personnel and the client to obtain and evaluate relevant facts to arrive at a decision to contest benefit chargeability
  • Provide excellent service to both internal and external clients
  • Analyze unemployment claim history checking for a number of possible protest areas
  • Investigate and analyze unemployment claim files by analyzing state agency and other documents stored as images on system
  • Construct a protest letter to erroneous charges using system tools
  • Receive, check, prioritize, and prepare benefit charge statements for possible entry onto the system
  • Verify that totals for charges loaded to system balance with the detail statements by analyzing reports and system data
  • Adhere to all time limits
  • Discuss unemployment matters; especially chargeability of claims with clients, internal personnel, and state agencies

What experience you need

  • Previous office experience with an emphasis on customer service
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Experience working with dated materials and adherence to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Windows and/Google based applications
