UX Design Strategist, Yahoo DSP (Finance)



Position Overview

As a UX Design Strategist, you will be a key leader responsible for shaping and delivering exceptional user experiences across our products and services. You will guide strategic design initiatives, inform design principles and collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure our designs are innovative, user-centered, and aligned with our business goals. You will be responsible for contributing to a high-performing design team that fosters creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership:
    • Set clear design goals and priorities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Manage design projects from ideation to execution, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
    • Drive a culture of innovation and experimentation within the design team.
  • Strategic Design:
    • Develop and implement design strategies that align with our overall business goals.
    • Assist in conducting user research and analysis to identify opportunities for design innovation.
    • Translate business requirements into compelling and user-friendly designs.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies.
    • Champion design excellence and best practices across the organization in collaboration with engineering and product.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product development.
    • Present design ideas and solutions to stakeholders, clearly articulating the rationale behind design choices.
    • Act as a design advocate, representing the user perspective throughout the product development process.
    • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Design Execution:
    • Oversee the creation of high-quality design deliverables, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
    • Ensure designs are accessible and inclusive for all users.
    • Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and implementable.
    • Ensure designs meet quality standards

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design.
  • Experience designing digital products for B2B or SaaS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, user experience (UX) best practices, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Experience with user research and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience in the adtech industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

The compensation for this position ranges from $128,250.00 - $266,875.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
