Human Resources/EHS Business Partner (Manufacturing)
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
Develops and implements HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with company goals in areas such as talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation, and leadership development.
Provides guidance to site leaders and staff on HR matters, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Manages employee/labor relations, including investigations, disciplinary actions, grievance responses, and collective bargaining compliance.
Oversees HR metrics, staffing, training, and performance management to enhance workforce effectiveness.
Ensures accurate and complete employee documentation and HRIS data integrity.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
Establishes and maintains EHS strategies, systems, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance and support company objectives.
Implements proactive safety programs, including injury prevention, hazardous material management, and emergency preparedness.
Leads incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring corrective actions and communication to stakeholders.
Manages Workers' Compensation cases and collaborates with third-party administrators.
Conducts EHS audits and ensures timely resolution of findings.
Partners with site leadership to assess EHS impacts on projects and investments.
Drives employee engagement to foster a proactive, empowered safety culture.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required (HR, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred).
4-7 years of relevant experience in HR and/or EHS roles.
Experience in a collective bargaining environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of HR and EHS regulations, practices, and compliance requirements.
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence organizational change.
Proficiency in developing and implementing strategic and operational programs.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with manufacturing environments and safety protocols.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Primarily works in an office setting with regular time spent in production and warehouse environments.
Frequent walking and standing; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
