Program Manager, Leadership and Community Engagement (Finance)

The Program Manager, Leadership and Community Engagement is responsible for planning and facilitating campus-wide leadership and community experiences to enhance the growth and education of the student body. The Program Manager is responsible for leadership and community program development, event logistics, outreach and promotion efforts, facilitation, assessment, and reporting. This position supports leadership curriculum development, manages the service hub, the League of the Rising Hawks, and advises students on leadership and community experiences that support student development and connection.
Duties:
Develops, plans, promotes, and facilitates leadership development programs and events. Stays current with trends and innovations in student leadership development and civic responsibility. Supports late night and weekend programs as needed.
Responsible for recruitment and support for students participating in League of the Rising Hawks. Collaborates with campus partners to identify opportunities that align with the student co-curricular experience, communicates opportunities to participants, and identifies new experiences that align with program goals. Management of experience path in the student engagement platform.
Coordinates and promotes ongoing community and civic engagement experiences. Support the implementation of large-scale community and civic engagement events hosted by the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership. Oversee campus-wide community-building programs and initiatives, including First-Generation Student Support and other student development efforts.
Supervises the Coordinator of Community Engagement, providing mentorship and programmatic oversight of civic and community-based initiatives. Responsible for the recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and ongoing development of office student leaders, including Hawk Leadership Institute peer facilitators, mentors, and democracy fellows.
Advises and provides resources to students seeking to develop new leadership skills and get more involved in community and civic engagement experiences through collaboration with alumni, faculty, staff, local government agencies and non-profit organizations.
Manages and maintains service hub: communicates upcoming volunteer opportunities, connects students with community partners, and identifies new organizations and volunteer events for students to participate in.
Responsible for assessing leadership and civic engagement experiences. Reports assessment initiatives and results to the Director and determines how learning outcomes align with the department's mission, Division of Student Affairs goals, and university priorities.
Collaborates with office staff on all department programs, special projects, and other community building events. Collaborates with staff outside of the Office to Student Involvement and Leadership to host events and activities. Serves on divisional and university-wide committees and advisory boards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Minimum three years of experience with leadership development programming in a college or university setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership or related field.
Experience developing or facilitating student leadership development, community building, or other related experiences. Experience working with student engagement platforms.
