PRE AUTHORIZATION REPRESENTATIVE (Finance)

The Pre-Authorization Representative is the representative of WTRC in communication with patients, referral sources, and insurance companys concerning authorization for planned services.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Patient Accounting, the responsibilities of the Pre-Authorization Representative include:
Coordinates Medicare administrative functions for the timely provision of patient services/care rendered.Obtains required Medicare physician documentation.Review and follow up on all paperwork to ensure it is up to date.Update and implement any changes. Ensures authorizations remain current.Makes self-available and is willing to learn and help with other staff members jobs if necessary.Other office duties as assigned.
