Night Shift Direct Care Worker (Transportation)



Shift: 4 10 hour night shift, Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday
Shifts Available: 7p-5a or 9p-7a
$3.00 Premium

What You'll Do:
As a Direct Care Worker in our Crisis Residential Unit, you'll be the heart of support for individuals facing mental health challenges. You'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment by:

Providing calm, compassionate, and respectful care at all times.

Supporting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, cooking, and mobility.

Encouraging meaningful engagement and helping individuals identify personal goals, strengths, and interests.

Monitoring safety with regular checks and providing hands-on support as needed.

Assisting with medication administration and documentation.

Facilitating therapeutic and educational groups.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, and mental health professionals.

Supporting crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts with empathy and skill.

Promoting recovery, resilience, and community integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster trusting relationships through consistent, empathetic communication.

Respond effectively to individuals in crisis, using non-restrictive interventions.

Document progress, shift updates, and incident reports in our EMR (LEO).

Assist with developing coping skills, community living skills, and access to resources.

Encourage participation in meaningful activities, education, and employment.

Support consumers and their families in navigating the mental health system.

What You Bring:

Passion for helping others and making a difference in mental health care.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond compassionately to individuals in crisis.

Commitment to person-centered care and trauma-informed practices.

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Willingness to learn and implement emergency procedures and interventions.

Experience in behavioral health is a plus--but more importantly, a desire to grow and support others is essential.
