Volunteer - Activities Assistant (Personal Services)

To provide companionship, assistance, and emotional support to our residents, while enhancing their quality of life through engagement in meaningful activities and social interaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with recreational activities (games, arts & crafts, music, etc.)Provide one-on-one companionship to residentsHelp with non-medical tasks such as reading, writing letters, or taking walksAssist staff during events or outingsGreet visitors and support front desk if neededEncourage resident participation in group activities
Qualifications:
Friendly, patient, and compassionate natureGood communication and interpersonal skillsReliable and punctualAbility to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacyMust pass background check and attend orientation/training
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
Prior experience working with seniorsBackground in healthcare, social work, or hospitality
