Security Clearance: Secret  

Schedule: Due to the nature of law enforcement work and operation, position may require occasional support outside of core working hours, as well as intermittent weekend support, mission dependent.

Job Summary:

Assist OCDETF, OFC, and IOC-2 in the area of information, personnel and physical security, security policies, procedures standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, and classified operations from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, sabotage, or loss. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct a continuing security analysis and recommend improvements and corrective measures to upgrade security administration, procedures, and processes. 
     Provide and make recommendations to implement personnel and physical security requirements to include processing security clearance requirements, employee in/out processing, access control, escort activities, property inventory and management, support of all systems protecting OCDETF facilities and safety management.
  • Provide mission critical physical security, information technology (IT) and related administrative services at different classification levels up to Top Secret Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) by supporting security requirements that impact network, infrastructure, physical and virtual environments.
  • Assist with the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) Responsibilities and Pandemic Flu (Global Outbreak of new influenzas virus).
  • Assists the OCDETF SPM (Security Program Manager) in formulating and implementing short-term and long-range COOP.
  • Works closely with the SPM and Office Staff to ensure JMD Plan goals and objectives are met for all COOP Plans and Exercises.
  • Help with existing policies and assist with the development of revised policies as needed.
  • Assist in managing various requirements related to the maintenance agreements for all security equipment and shall assist in the Accreditation of Open Storage Areas (OSA) and SCIF's.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:  

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree and 6-10 years of experience.
  • Experience in E-Quip, management of DD-254 related requirements, and other security databases.
  • Provide broad personnel security support including but not limited to processing contractor security packages, conducting criminal background checks and conducting in processing and out-processing briefings.
  • Assist with passing clearances requirements for OCDETF personnel. Ability to work effectively with other employees.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and conduct training.
  • Ability to formulate accurate reports.

Clearance:

Security Requirements/Background Investigation Requirements: 

  • Must be a U.S Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.
  • Favorable credit check for all cleared positions 
  • Successfully passing a background investigation including drug screening.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Standing/Walking/Mobility:  Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees. Standing for prolonged and extended periods of time.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling:  0% - 10% of the time.
  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing:  0% - 10% of the time.
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling:  Must be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
  • Sitting:  Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
