Get to Know This Role
The Maintenance Tech 3 - HVAC ensures trouble-free operation of HVAC\R-related equipment by safely completing preventative maintenance (PMs) work orders on various HVAC\R equipment around the plant. This role will troubleshoot, repair and address issues related to HVAC\R equipment and requires an eye for quality, attention to detail and a superior work ethic.

What You Will Do
  • Troubleshoot and correct issues with HVAC\R for offices, pub, container van reefers, warehouse cooling units, co2 plant
  • Perform routine service and condition monitoring on brewery wide HVAC systems to include changing of filters and coil cleaning, checking system charge for leaks, repairing and recharging systems
  • Perform drive system maintenance on chains, belts, couplings and gearboxes, bearing checks and grease as necessary
  • Perform basic /minor equipment repairs as indicated by preventative maintenance work orders
  • Document work completed and update work orders in MP2 system
  • Execute PM's and basic repairs on the glycol cooling system and allied equipment, check daily status and operational efficiency
  • Perform and routine oil checks and changes on all varieties of brewery HVAC and air-handling equipment
  • Maintain inventory of oil, grease, lubricants and refrigerants
  • Communicate equipment irregularities to Supervisor
  • Document changes to SOPs and preventative maintenance documents as needed
     
  • Potential availability to take after-hours work-related calls and come on-site to resolve HVAC/R related issues appreciated, but not required. Any time spent taking an after-hours call and subsequent work time will be compensated.
     
Please Apply if You Have
  • Associate's Degree or Technical Training School preferred
  • 3 years related experience with HVAC\R applications required
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Certified to handle Refrigerants, EPA 608 Part I, II required
  • Previous experience that demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Basic mechanical repair experience preferred
  • Ability to read and understand operation manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), manufacturer's instructions, and/or engineering specifications.
  • Ability to accurately use precision measuring and testing instruments such as pressure gages, volt ohm meter, vibration meter, leak detectors, infrared scanner, air volume analyzer and other diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to follow basic safety protocol s such as lock out / tag out (LOTO), confined space entry and ladder safety
  • Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools
  • Ability to perform quality work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Driver's License free of any major moving violations within the last three years upon hire required
