IT End User Specialist 1 (Finance)



The IT End User Specialist 1 provides essential support to end users on personal computers, networks, hardware, software, and peripheral devices. As an integral part of the IT support team, this role handles referrals from Tier 1 help desk support to resolve more complex technical issues, ensuring end users have functional and reliable systems. The IT End User Specialist I will install, configure, and maintain systems while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive escalations from Tier 1/help desk support, diagnose, and resolve standard technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure comprehensive and timely resolution of technical problems.
  • Install and configure software, apply hardware updates or patches, and ensure all end-user devices are functioning optimally.
  • Set up and deploy new user workstations and accounts as needed, supporting smooth onboarding for new employees.
  • Evaluate and resolve network connectivity issues and support communication systems to maintain uninterrupted service.
  • Create and maintain documentation for workstations, systems, and support processes, ensuring consistent information for troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Ensure all systems, workstations, and devices adhere to organizational security policies and standards, maintaining data integrity and system security.
  • Setup and maintain conference room and collaboration systems.
  • Participate in compliance audits and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Support IT asset tracking, including monitoring and recording hardware and software inventory.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately and thoroughly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area according to 5S standards.
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the IT department's goals and objectives

Skills/Competencies

  • Proficient in basic IT troubleshooting, hardware and software configuration, and network connectivity support.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with end users and IT colleagues.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks, handle multiple issues, and maintain orderly documentation.
  • Meticulous in documenting procedures, managing assets, and ensuring compliance with IT policies and standards.
  • Ability to schedule and manage small projects or updates, ensuring timely resolution and minimal user disruption.

Qualifications

Required

  • Education: Bachelor's
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in IT support or related areas, with a focus on troubleshooting and user support.
