Global Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Job Summary

The Global Quality Engineer will be responsible for quality issues of key customers including escalations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, communication to customer/internal stakeholders, documentation and reporting. The position will work closely with internal departments such as Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service and Warehouse on daily basis to drive results and solve problems. This person should have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels within the organization. They should also possess analytical and problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer requests for information or assistance in a timely manner; provide accurate information

  • Communicate internally and externally (verbal and written) effectively

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures

  • Developing effective relationships with internal and external customers and providing exceptional customer service

  • Facilitate meetings and conference calls as needed

  • Travel to offsite locations (domestic and international) as necessary to resolve quality issues

  • Plan, schedule, conduct and document quality audits and inspections

  • Document nonconformances, deviations and CAPAs

  • Complete administrative tasks related to customer quality issues including data entry, filing, document control etc.

  • Conduct trend analyses and generate reports using various software packages

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant discipline preferred

  • 5+ years of experience working directly with OEMs in a manufacturing environment required

  • Experience with Six Sigma principles and tools preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required

  • Strong communication and presentation skills required

  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 10%

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality required

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes preferred
