HR Technology Director (Finance)



Responsibilities: 

  • Provide direction in all aspects of HR technology management to support business and talent lifecycle companywide. Partner with decision-makers, external consultants, end-users and vendors to recommend solutions relative to overall HR system functionality.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and business leaders to sponsor and guide key HR technology initiatives. Provide strategic direction, help ensure the right resources are in place, and promote agile principles while keeping efforts aligned with business goals and ensuring strong collaboration and adoption across teams.
  • Manage team including coaching and performance management of employees.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to accomplish goals and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Continuous review and improvement of established rules and governance procedures for data change management and manage applicable change control process. Monitor escalations up and down project governance paths.
  • Partner with HR, IT and Business Leaders to develop security strategy for HR Systems to ensure integrity of our data and systems. Lead as the HR Information Security officer and work collectively with company privacy officers to ensure privacy standards are met. Monitor privacy and security protocols for key vendors.
  • Architect a forward-looking HR technology roadmap aligned with workforce needs, business priorities, and digital strategies.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging HR technologies including AI, automation, and analytics to modernize systems, enhance our associate experience, and enable data-driven decision making.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness and process improvement.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, IT, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience in related job responsibility
  • Experience leading and managing cloud-based HCM applications and directing multi-phase complex projects such as participating in software implementation of cloud-based systems
  • Familiarity with project management approaches and project lifecycles
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate complicated project concepts into concise recommendations and translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Experience with HR data structure, tables, reporting, interfaces and conversions
  • Understanding of system security and privacy best practices and regulations
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels across the organization
  • Ability to manage a budget and external vendor relationships
  • Ability to travel ~ 10-15%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' work experience in HR focused technology-based roles .
  • Functional HR process practical knowledge
