Electromyography (EMG) Technologist (Finance)



Job Type: Part-Time (16 hours per week)
Location: Bloomington, with occasional rotation to other clinic sites
Reports To: Clinical Supervisor
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EMG Technologist to join our clinical team. In this role, you will perform basic nerve conduction studies under physician supervision, contributing to the diagnostic process and enhancing patient care. This position is primarily based in Bloomington, with flexibility to support other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform electromyography (EMG) studies using nerve conduction techniques and digital filtering systems.
· Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring patient comfort and data accuracy.
· Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of instruments, supplies, and examination rooms.
· Adhere to established clinical and patient care standards.
· Collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical staff, sharing relevant patient information and test results.
· Upon completion of training, independently conduct Qutenza patch application appointments in accordance with clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Completion of a Neurodiagnostic Technology program or AMA-approved EEG program preferred (or equivalent experience).
· EMG certification preferred; must be obtained within two years of hire if not already certified.
· Current CPR/BLS certification required.
· Willingness to complete training for Qutenza patch application and perform procedures independently post-training.
