Senior Escalation Engineer (Finance)

What is the opportunity?
As a Sr. Escalation Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Analyze computer systems and data processing problems to implement and improve systems, contribute to the development and customization of applications, and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Analyze customer business operations and end user requirements to determine and develop software solutions.
  • Provide technical validation of sales opportunities ensuring alignment to success criteria, accounting for consumption.
  • Drive the most complex and critical situations to resolutions for the customers including application configuration, and testing.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for Mobile Device Management (MDM) module of the Omnissa Workspace ONE product.
  • T roubleshoot networking protocols like TCP/IP etc. Perform packet captures at different nodes to determine the flow of traffic, network latency, packet drops and troubleshooting issues accordingly.
  • Collaborate effectively with other cross-functional teams such as Product Development, Product Management, SaaS-Operations, Network-Operations, and/or Deployments and Professional Services to resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Drive proactive customer interactions resulting in a higher rate of product consumption.
  • Provide detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and technical documentation to optimize existing cloud platform.
  • Enable customers to adapt Omnissa's Workspace ONE suite of products and technology and realize business value rapidly and successfully.
  • Provide technical consulting for the implementation of Omnissa's Workspace ONE product per customer's business needs and technical use-cases.
  • Mentor and deliver training to other technical staff on a wide range of technical topics like deployment and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Work with many teams with a high level of networking knowledge, technical consulting, and support.
  • Work with team members from other disciplines and understand the impact of product design - the end-user computing work product on business processes and financial resources.
  • Responsible for technical on-boarding and product adoption, product development feedback, knowledge-based article creation, and global team collaboration.
  • Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Omnissa office in Atlanta, GA.

What will you bring to Omnissa ? Employer requires at least five (5) of the following skills gained through industry experience:

  • Networking, routing, and troubleshooting skills including protocols such as TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, HTTP, DHCP, and DNS, switching, load balancing, traceroute, iperf, dig, or curl
  • Route-based or policy-based VPNs, configuring firewall rules and direct connect technologies
  • Administration of cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Intelligence automation for reporting and automated solutions utilizing REST API-based services
  • Maintaining stability and supportability of cloud solutions and architecting a hybrid cloud strategy that includes IaaS and SaaS
  • Researching, troubleshooting, or resolving system issues or outages of application web-service such as IIS, hosting servers such as Windows and Linux servers, and database servers such as Microsoft SQL Server
  • Third-party systems integrations such as Certificate Authority, SIEM tools with Workspace ONE product suite
  • Virtualization technologies, centralized networking, security management, or End-User Computing
  • Mobile and End-Point Device management solutions supporting iOS, Android, macOS, or Windows devices in large enterprise settings and troubleshooting issues utilizing devices-level logging such as ADB, Xcode, or scripting such as PowerShell, XML, or SQL.

Education: Position requires a Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engg, Electrical Engg, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field, plus one (1) year of experience in Job offered or any occupation in which the required experience was gained or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engg, Electrical Engg, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical/quantitative field, plus five (5) years of experience in Job offered or any occupation in which the required experience was gained.
