Supervisor Operations (Project Management)

Wintrust Life Finance is seeking a highly motivated individual to supervise Portfolio Management in the day-to-day monitoring of outside assets pledged as collateral. This will include identifying transactions for unsecured positions and supporting production related programs.

What you'll Do

  • Manages Senior Portfolio Management Analysts and Portfolio Management Analysts (each and collectively, “PMAs”) in ensuring that brokerage statements are received and entered into the system correctly and in a timely manner. Trains and mentors PMAs in various aspects of Portfolio Management.

  • Helps PMA's identify transactions that have been unsecured and interacts with Senior Management to ensure that soft default/default letters are issued in a timely manner.

  • Accurately leads team to prep Collateral Management Meeting reports and minutes on a weekly basis.

  • Backs up the SVP – Portfolio Management on other projects and with other items related to multi-life financing program.

  • Manages custody of all collateral items in safe to ensure they are properly accounted for. Some of the items in the safe are Letters of Credit, Policies and other tangible collateral. Daily tracking and quarterly inventory is required. Also, leads team n occasionally confirming authenticity with bank.

  • Reviews collateral values within approval limits to make sure the Administrative System aligns with value statements and that provenance is valid. Also, helps manage those on his team that are authorized for this task.

  • Within periods of elevated market volatility: Identifies potential unsecure loans, helps to coordinate additional statement requests, oversees additional statement entry and reports progress to Senior Management.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree

  • Two years of related work experience

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $71,000 - $92,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience
