Talent Acquisition Sourcer (Poultry / SAN) (Finance)



Purpose of the Position

Supports the Recruiting function by building pipelines of talent through effective and innovative sourcing while anticipating industry trends and utilizing market information to ensure best-in-class candidate sourcing.

Essential Position Responsibilities - This is a Salary Exempt position.

Partners with Recruiters, Hiring Managers and other HR Professionals to source and recruit candidates for assigned disciplines. Builds effective sourcing and assessment approaches, identifies and markets hard-to-fill positions, and manages the expectations of both hiring managers and job candidates. Builds a pipeline of talent by sourcing both active and passive candidates, engaging and following-up with identified 'good fit' talent, and by using an effective and comprehensive sourcing strategy that includes the use of social media, employee referrals, job fairs, professional networking, establishing and fostering relationships with known sources of talent, etc.

Manages the recruitment life cycle in ADP by utilizing integrated Recruiting software to screen, move, disposition, etc. candidates from the point of application to the point of selection and to manage and prioritize open requisitions. Performs administrative duties, as assigned. Conducts pre-screening interviews and makes recommendations on candidate selection for interviews. Maintains applicant tracking data and reporting for internal purposes as well as for compliance purposes. Provides internal clients with guidance relative to interviewing, references, salary negotiation, relocation, hiring policies, and other areas relative to the hiring process.

Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Communicates with Customers, Vendors, or Employees via telephone, in person, and/or electronic mail. May present information to small or large groups. Must be able to work in various temperatures. Move about in a manufacturing environment and surrounding property. May travel via car or plane to various recruiting events.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As required by visiting facility.

Travel: requiring overnight stays. Potential travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites and training, possibly

Technical Experience: 1-3 years of previous experience sourcing candidates via social media and resume databases, and cold calling candidates or an equivalent amount of recruiting or IT experience in data mining or in another complimentary IT role. Boolean Searches preferred. Familiarity with employment law, HR policies/practices and OFCCP regulations preferred. Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems strongly preferred. Possess strong written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Industry Experience: N/A

Minimum Education : Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Marketing, Communication or related degrees or 4 years related work experience.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology or a related field of study. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
