Quality Technician 1

The Quality Control Technician 1 plays a vital role in ensuring the organization's commitment to delivering high-quality products and services. This position supports quality control processes by conducting detailed testing, analyzing results, and contributing recommendations to improve performance and compliance. By leveraging technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset, the Quality Control Technician 1 ensures that all products and services meet established specifications, regulatory standards, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of products and services to validate compliance with technical specifications and quality standards
  • Analyze test results to identify trends, inconsistencies, or deviations, and recommend corrective actions to improve quality.
  • Operate and accurately apply precision gauging instruments and inspection tools during quality control processes.
  • Ensure all testing and inspection activities adhere to regulatory compliance standards and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and maintain inspection equipment, calibrating gauges as needed to ensure accuracy and reliability during testing.
  • Record, organize, and analyze quality data, preparing comprehensive reports for review by the quality control team or management.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment by adhering to 5S principles and promoting cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures to maintain compliance and support organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns, providing input to improve processes and resolve issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to interpret and apply detailed work instructions, technical specifications, and inspection protocols.
  • Proficiency in using and calibrating various gauging instruments with precision during inspections.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to document findings, share results, and contribute to team discussions.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify quality issues and propose actionable solutions.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards in testing and inspection activities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement to keep up with evolving quality standards and technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Required

  • Education: Bachelor's
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in quality assurance or similar role.
