Summary

Responsible for moving trailers across lots during loading and related functions.

Shift: Monday - Friday 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM (overtime as necessary); Saturday overtime may be necessary as well.

The position will be building pallets or restocking product most of the time and only move trailers when the primary mover is off or if workload is in excess of what the primary trailer mover can handle. This position requires employee to operate a semi-tractor and trailer in a busy and congested parking lot. They MUST have previous experience backing trailer to dock doors and backing trailers into spots in the parking lot between other equipment. This is primarily an outside position, so it is subject to the weather year-round.

Responsibilities

  • Conductdaily checks of trailers for raw materials and full goods in addition to assessing for empty trailers and others that need to be relocated or loaded.
  • Properly store trailers not being used.
  • Maintainproper order of customer pick-up trailers brought to the docks.
  • Ensure a complete and accurate list of trailers brought in and moved to the docks.
  • Ensure that all trailers brought to the docks have their wheels chocked.
  • Reportproblems or damages that occur.
  • Follow established company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality procedures and policies.
  • Actively participate in Hazard Mitigation.
  • Complete assigned Heath & Safety trainings.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0 - 3 years of general work experience required.
  • 1+ year prior warehouse/stocking/forklift experience preferred.
  • Previous experience within a high-speed industrial environment a plus.
  • CDL Class A required if transporting products on public roads.
  • Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift product.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Fork-lift certification is required.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift up to 60lbs.
