The School of Information Systems and Management in the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida (USF) is searching for outstanding candidates to fill faculty positions for Assistant/Associate Professor of Instruction.

The School of Information Systems and Management at the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida (USF) is searching for outstanding candidates to fill faculty positions in the area of Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Systems at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Instruction. Candidates must have a doctorate degree in information systems, analytics, statistics, or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution or equivalent and preferably has evidence of meeting AACSB faculty qualification requirements. Candidates who will successfully complete all requirements for the doctorate degree by August 1, 2025, including final dissertation defense, may also apply.

Preference will be given to candidates who can teach and develop core and elective courses in the BS/MS in Business Analytics and Information Systems and the BS/MS in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Analytics programs, possess a track record or a willingness to undertake activities in support of student success initiatives, have a track record and sustained interest in research related to analytics and information systems, and/or have academic experience in teaching AI, analytics or information systems such as Data Mining, Data Science Programming, Data Analytics for Business, Machine Learning and Managerial Decision Analysis related courses at the undergraduate or graduate level from an AACSB accredited institution.Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

Preferred Qualifications:

While a completed doctoral degree is strongly preferred, candidates who will successfully complete all requirements for the doctorate degree, including final dissertation defense, before August 1, 2025 may also apply.

  • A PhD degree in business analytics/statistics/information systems or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution or equivalent
  • A track record of teaching and curriculum development in undergraduate and graduate business programs such as BS/MS in Management, BS/MS in Business Analytics, BS/MS in Information Technology, MBA and PhD programs in business analytics and AI and/or information systems.
  • Evidence that the candidate can meet and sustain the college's AACSB faculty qualification requirements for scholarly academics.
  • A track record and interest in research in disciplines such as AI, information systems, business analytics, or management.
  • A track record or a willingness to undertake activities in support of student success initiatives.
  • Documented ability to successfully teach online and face-to-face in large sections.
