SET THE COURSE

Lead the technical solution definition, design, development and deployment for eCommerce applications that align with the business needs. This role works closely with the eCommerce Business teams, Program Management, Infrastructure Operations and other Solution Architects.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

Strategic Planning & Architecture

  • Define and develop the strategic roadmap for eCommerce systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient technology solutions, including system architecture, technical designs, data models, and business processes.
  • Ensure all solutions align with enterprise standards for security, scalability, reliability, supportability, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the definition and governance of enterprise architecture standards.

Solution Delivery
  • Own technical components throughout the project lifecycle-from planning and design to development, QA, deployment, and ongoing operations.
  • Oversee technical deliverables, ensuring quality and consistency across internal teams and external development partners.
  • Contribute to hands-on development as needed, including coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Project Management & Collaboration
  • Partner with Program Management to estimate and plan technical workstreams and timelines.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to determine system requirements and ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including system diagrams, integration specifications, and solution overviews.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor technical team members, providing coaching, feedback, and clear performance goals.
  • Conduct code reviews and approvals, ensuring best practices and development standards are upheld.
  • Define staffing needs and partner with HR to recruit and hire top talent.

Vendor & System Optimization

  • Liaise with vendors to stay informed about system updates, enhancements, patches, and bug fixes.
  • Identify gaps in third-party solutions and develop custom in-house tools or reports as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Act as a role model and champion for company values and team culture.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support broader business initiatives.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field

Experience and Skills

  • Generally, 10+ years' experience designing, building, documenting and maintain enterprise-scale technical solutions to meet defined business needs
  • 5+ years' eCommerce business and systems experience
  • 3+ years 'experience managing and mentoring technical team members
  • 5+ years experience working in SAP Commerce Cloud development
  • Experience with a variety of enterprise class tools and technologies
  • Experience overseeing technical activities of third party vendors and/or partners
  • Experience working with and extending packaged eCommerce applications
  • Adobe Experience Manager experience is a plus

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $125,400 to $209,000 Annually
