Job Summary

JETCOOL Technologies, a Flex company, is seeking a dedicated, dependable Senior Mechanical Engineer in Littleton, MA to contribute to technical programs across our core data center business. The position will be responsible for executing engineering programs involving thermal analysis, mechanical design, detailed drawings, fabrication with new and existing suppliers, and environmental/thermofluidic testing. Successful candidates will be comfortable participating in the technical execution of multiple programs simultaneously but also, when needed, taking on tasks as an individual contributor to meet project deadlines. Successful candidates will be skilled in mechanical design (leading design reviews, approving engineering drawings, etc.) and be highly effective communicators to the team. The engineer should be able to think on their feet and clearly communicate technical ideas and concepts to various audiences.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Contribute to the technical execution of engineering programs and products

  • Provide technical expertise to the team; motivate the team and mentor key engineers

  • Draw on customer specifications and deep engineering experience to verify completeness of technical requirements

  • Assess technical merit/soundness of solutions and provide feedback on the technical progress of a program relative to required tollgates

  • Review mechanical designs, verify design compatibility, satisfaction of requirements, and positive user experience

  • Assist the team in finding, testing and implementing solutions to complex mechanical design challenges

  • Guide and mentor the team in identifying and executing the technical analyses and verification tests needed to validate designs

  • Technically guide development efforts as prototype products graduate to production

  • Work with engineering leadership to guide programs through design reviews and associated toll gates

  • Interpret and evaluate test results with the team, distill key results, debug where needed

  • Develop and maintain customer network and relationships; serve as a customer technical point-of-contact

  • Effectively document and communicate results through various media (reports, presentations, zoom, etc.)

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Biomedical engineering

  • 6+ years of engineering experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading the execution of multiple technical programs

  • Fluency with mechanical engineering design concepts, drawing best practices and fabrication capabilities

  • Effective team player able to guide program teams and excel in sound decision-making during tight deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability with hands-on builds/projects

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to create professional, clear, and effective communications in various media

Pay Range (Applicable to Massachusetts)

$104,100.00 USD - $143,100.00 USD Annual
