Production Control Manager (Manufacturing)



Key Activities/Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute strategic plans related to supply chain integration, and production planning to achieve "world class" performance.
  • Manage all production internal and external planning and scheduling activities for internal and external supply chain. Develop daily schedules that are efficient for operations and promote improved throughput that will be ideal to achieve the master production assembly schedule.
  • Work closely with Sales and Manufacturing, lead the monthly Build-to-Ship Inventory (BSI) production planning process to ensure we maximize sales opportunities while operating in the most effective manner. Takes full responsibility for the demand in the JDE ERP system.
  • Identify current capacity constraints bottlenecks and secondary bottlenecks and coordinate plans and expected timing of improvement with Business Unit Managers and Director of Operations.
  • Create KPIs for the group that will drive employee development and process improvement that lends towards more efficiently and successfully achieve the master production assembly schedule.
  • Serve as Operations Management Business Analyst - develop meaningful reports, ensure accurate data. Develop rough cut capacity planning models for different levels of business volume.  Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop, monitor and execute Maser Production Schedule (MPS).
  • Ensure the highest level of integrity within the organization following established policies and legal guidelines concerning ethical relationships. Recommends and develops improvements to policies and procedures as required.
  • Responsible for the motivation, coaching and development of direct reports and processes within your organization to ensure professional growth of all employees. Completes annual succession planning to identify and develop high potential employees.
  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as required.

Position Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering, business or related field required.
  • APICS Certification preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in running a multi-functional materials management organization in a complex manufacturing environment required.
  • 5+ years of team leadership experience
  • Prior plant line operational or plant management experience a plus
  • Must be results oriented with a “can do” attitude.
  • Ability to be perceptive and analytical, and to develop positive working relationships in a team environment with all levels of a complex manufacturing organization.
  • Experience in implementing lean manufacturing systems and tools is desirable
  • Strong analytical communication (both verbal and written), and excellent attention to detail skills are required.
  • Strong MS Excel skills required. Experience in writing queries from ERP systems preferred. 
  • JD Edwards experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and project planning skills required

Anticipated Salary Range: $88,916 to $152,386
