Manager, Performance Briefing (Finance)

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Performance Briefing Manager will be to lead a team that supports the Performance Management department with a wide range of written and visual briefing materials. The manager and their team works with senior leadership, operational leaders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to compile, edit, review, and produce executive-level presentations. Work products vary from contract-required briefings, internal performance updates, leadership decks, and performance summary reports. This role also serves as the central coordination point for briefing production across multiple programs and ensures alignment with contract deliverables and internal standards.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• U.S. Citizenship
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
• Experience conducting internal and external research to ensure accuracy/consistency of documentation and use of proper terminology
• Strong working knowledge or experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
• Meticulous attention to detail and effective professional work products
• Ability to develop templates and provide formatting/desktop publishing for work products
• Minimum of five years of experience gathering, analyzing, and composing technical information
• Minimum of five years of experience writing, reviewing, and editing requirements and specifications for Federal contracts • Experience developing executive-level briefing materials and performance summaries for internal and external stakeholders • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across teams and synthesize large volumes of data into clear, actionable visuals and messages
• Supervisory or team lead experience

Preferred:

• Ability to create associated graphics, charts, tables, appendices, and other information in support of written materials • Familiarity with contract deliverables, performance reporting, or healthcare operations (Defense Health Agency (DHA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), or Federal contracts preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Manages a team of briefing analysts - recruit, hire, onboard, workload distribution, performance management and feedback, and staff development.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for all performance briefing deliverables for DHA Leadership, TriWest Leadership, and Board presentations.
• Leads quarterly coordination of the TRICARE Integration Brief (TIB) production effort for all MTFs, ensuring accuracy, quality, and standardization across 65+ decks.
• Partners with the Director of Performance Management to monitor timelines, manage risks, and ensure briefing content aligns with broader performance reporting and contractual obligations.
• Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology.
• Interview subject matter experts to draft responses in a concise and logical manner that meets requirements.
• Translate technical information to clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
• Organize material and write descriptive copy according to established standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Develop, write, and edit functional descriptions, specifications, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents. • Learn the business content and contract requirements. Organize work products, communicate and collaborate with team members and meet deadlines.
• Collaborates with department leaders, subject matter experts, and other internal partners to gather information and thoroughly understand existing processes or requirements, as well as upcoming changes.
• Maintains a clear understanding of Government contracts, as they relate to CCN and T-5.
• Drafts and revises performance specific content and briefings related to enterprise operational processes, contract and procedural changes, training materials, job aids, bulletins, functional procedures, workflows, templates, and other internal and external communications specific to briefings.
• Develops and produces executive-level briefing materials, including routine and ad hoc presentations for internal leadership, the Board of Directors, and Government partners such as DHA and VA.
• Facilitates pre-briefing coordination and post-briefing follow-up including meeting minutes, action item tracking, and revision of materials based on stakeholder input.
• Ensures timely submission and high-quality delivery of all performance briefings and supports continuous improvement of briefing templates and processes.

TriWest job postings typically include a salary range, which can vary based on the specific role and location, but generally this position ranges from around $104,000 to $110,000 per year.
