Community Initiatives Coordinator (Remote- TX) (Finance)
Remote within a specific region within MHM's service area: either Mid-Border (Dimmit, Edwards, Kinney, LaSalle, Maverick, Real, Uvalde, Val Verde, or Zavala counties), Tri-County (Jim Hogg, Webb, or Zapata counties), South Texas / Rio Grande Valley (Brooks, Cameron, Hidalgo, Kenedy, Starr, or Willacy counties), or Bexar.
Summary:
The Community Initiatives Coordinator is responsible for supporting Methodist Healthcare Ministries' evolving community-based initiatives-beginning with a focus on digital equity, but expanding in future years to address other critical issues impacting the health and well-being of our service region. This position will play a key role in coordinating internal staff, external stakeholders, consultants, and community partners to develop and implement collaborative strategies and initiatives.
The Coordinator will represent MHM in various coalitions, collaboratives, and regional/state-level planning efforts to ensure that community needs-particularly from underserved and rural areas-are reflected in public policies, funding strategies, and implementation plans. This role also supports cross-sector learning by helping align and elevate best practices across the region.
Salary:
Annual salary rate begins at $58,810. Mid range at $73,513. Actual starting rate will be commensurate with experience and education.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree required. Experience working with administration, or grants management with community-based organizations or foundations preferred. Three years professional experience in one or more of these areas: digital equity and inclusion, rural health, economic mobility, food security, community development, project management, and/or public private partnerships required. Experience creating partnerships and successfully managing internal and external relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders required.
Language Ability:
Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Fluent in English required; Spanish bilingual preferred.

Computer Skills:
Excellent with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word and Excel applications.
Travel:
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to community partner sites, MHM clinic and program sites, convenings, and conferences, including overnight stays. Must work some evenings and weekends as job duties may require.
