Director, National Accounts (Finance)



Job Description

The National Accounts Director provides leadership and oversight to specific national accounts with the focus on a specific market segment. The National Accounts Director focuses on all aspects of the customer relationship including understanding the customer's business model and the segments in which they operate, customer opportunities and related pricing, mitigation of customer issues to ensure customer retention and satisfaction, customer project risk assessment.

This role focuses on the strategic value add that Badger can bring to the customer as well as differentiating Badger from other non-destructive excavation company in North America through the lens of the assigned market segment. In this role, the Director, National Accounts will be assigned the focus market segment: Oil & Gas.

We prefer this role to reside in Texas or a surrounding state.

Salary: The compensation for this role will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develops and executes a 1-2-year business plan ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategic plan and immediate manager's business plan, with focus on one or more of the assigned market segments: (1) Construction & Transportation, (2) Utilities & Pipeline, (3) Emergency Disaster Response, (4) Oil & Gas.
  • Develop, grow, and refine assigned focused market segment strategies and capabilities by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization and externally:
    • Enhances day-to-day service capabilities, drives sales and project implementations for assigned segment
    • Establishes, implements, and improves market segment back office resources and processes
    • Creates education and marketing material concepts to educate internal and external partners on focused segment
  • Develop strategic direction and action plans for assigned National Account(s) to drive profitable revenue growth as well as ensure customer retention and satisfaction
  • Defines and drives the vision for the account and establishes attainable goals, targets, and sales metrics

What We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in sales, business, communications, or an industry-related field is strongly preferred
  • 10+ years account management experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Knowledge of Service industry, multi-location industry, and business acumen
  • Significant experience in account management
  • Demonstrable success growing high-profile client accounts and proven background in exceeding sales goals and quotas.
