Field Coordinator & Assistant Instructor (Finance)



The University of South Florida, School of Social Work invites applications for the Sarasota-Manatee (on-campus) Social Work Program Field Coordinator & Assistant Instructor position. The position will be responsible for the recruitment of new community partners, continued engagement with current community partners, and the student field placement process for BSW and MSW students enrolled in the Sarasota-Manatee program, in coordination with the Director of Field Education. The position is dedicated to providing instruction in the Sarasota-Manatee face-to-face MSW program and contributing to the service needs in the School, including the admissions process, advising and other duties. This is a 12-month continual appointment, subject to annual evaluations. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

  • MSW from a CSWE accredited School of Social Work.
  • Two years of full-time or the equivalent of part-time post-graduate social work practice experience.
  • Teaching or training experience in social work practice (higher education experience, preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Administrative experience in social work education and/or leadership in a human service agency.
  • Experience in field education for example, creating and developing community partnerships, coordinating student placements, and providing oversight of students throughout the field placement process.
  • Demonstrate an ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience with competency-based standards.
  • Supervisory experience with students or staff.
  • Social work state licensure in any state, State of Florida preferred.
