Sales Assistant (Sales)
Job Summary:
Work directly, and in coordination with, the entire Sales team to provide information and pricing to potential and existing customers. Duties include phone and written communication with both internal teams and external clients and vendor partners.
Job Duties:
Provide pricing and service information and provide appropriate documentation to customers and potential customers. Tracking deadlines and gathering necessary documentation during the bid process. Communication will be through both email and phone. Excellent communication and grammar skills required and attention to detail is a must, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of information. Enter and maintain quotes within TruckMate database for entire sales team. Monitor for patterns/similarities and communicate same to the Sales Team. Establish and administer a process to track and follow-up on all quote requests with a sense of urgency. Complete any onboarding requests including customer packet requests such as W-9, etc. Work with Sales team members to prepare customer Onboarding/Update Checklist prior to each new Customer Profile being created in TruckMate. Follow-up with customer after new account setup form is returned and provide their Client ID and credit status (i.e. prepay, terms, etc). Share Checklist with appropriate Customer Service Supervisor and Equipment Supervisor. Assist new customers with their first orders, acting as facilitator between customer and Duncan departments to ensure proper communication, scheduling needs, billing, free time, and fulfillment of any other special needs. Research and resolve rate discrepancies and disputed invoices. Manage incoming customer phone calls and e-mails, ensuring the inbox is organized and all inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally. See that any special needs or problems are communicated to the Operations Staff to ensure proper fulfillment. Discuss customer needs or problems with VP of Operations or VP of Sales as needed.
Schedule: Monday Through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM
Pay: $20-22 Per Hour
Requirements:
Must have excellent people and communication skills, be organized and have strong computer skills. Position requires entering accurate data and information into a proprietary Truckmate database, submit pricing and service proposals directly to customer platforms, as well as be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to organize and manage a high volume inbox.Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all interactions with internal teams, external clients, and vendor partners. Customer service experience related to transportation/trucking including container/intermodal experience would be preferred. Must be able to maintain an AZ drivers license. College degree preferred
