About the Role

Essity North America Health and Medical Solutions is currently an experienced R&D Engineer who will be responsible for developing innovative wound care products and improving existing technologies that promote faster, safer healing of chronic and acute wounds. This position will be located at our advanced wound care facility in Manchester, CT.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the product expert in innovation initiatives, leading the development of new or existing products with a focus on value engineering and quality enhancements.
  • Drive the end-to-end design and development of product solutions that align with business objectives and technical constraints, ensuring product superiority.
  • Translate customer and end-user needs into actionable product features, design parameters, and technical specifications.
  • Define and continuously improve technical requirement specifications, incorporating considerations such as regulatory compliance, intellectual property, product safety, and manufacturability.
  • Establish finished goods specifications for validated design solutions, ensuring complete and accurate documentation for business unit and product supply handover.
  • Deliver cost-effective, scalable design solutions across the entire value chain and global machine technologies.
  • Contribute to strategic and innovation-driven capital expenditures (CAPEX) by providing technical insights and product development input.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Background in emulsion, foam manufacturing/science, or similar processes is a huge plus.
  • Proven experience in product development and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Analytical, creative, and success-driven with an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, and capable of contributing effectively within multi-site and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage interactions with external stakeholders independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20–30% as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary range of $80K to $120K + annual incentive bonus + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
