Job Description
Job Title: Traveling Maintenance Technician/Project Leader (Hands-On)
Reports to: Vice President of Facilities
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Remote
Direct Reports: None
Department: Facilities

Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing hands-on maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems at various project sites. Additionally, the technician will serve as a project manager, coordinating maintenance activities, supervising team members, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently with high safety and quality standards. Extensive travel to different client facilities across regions is required.
Essential Functions:
· Perform and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment and facility infrastructure.
· Conduct preventative and emergency maintenance on equipment such as HVAC, plumbing, injection molding, and other manufacturing systems.
· Diagnose and resolve issues with building assets, including appliances, walls, windows, doors, and more.
· Oversee and manage maintenance projects and activities at multiple sites, coordinating teams as needed.
· Schedule, plan, and maintain ongoing preventative maintenance programs for equipment and facilities.
· Track and maintain inventory levels for maintenance supplies and equipment.
· Implement cost-saving initiatives and ensure efficient utilization of machinery and secondary equipment.
· Assist in budgeting, compliance, and documentation, ensuring all work meets regulatory and safety standards.
· Provide training, mentorship, and support for maintenance staff; lead and evaluate team performance on site.
· Supervise contractors, coordinate with vendors, and validate the quality of outsourced maintenance work.
· Serve as the primary on-site liaison for clients, ensuring their needs are met and satisfaction is maintained.
· Respond promptly to on-site emergencies and after-hours calls as required.
· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
· High school diploma/GED required; technical/vocational training or college degree preferred.
· 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial/commercial setting.
· Experience in mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems; ability to read schematics and troubleshoot PLCs a plus.
· Leadership skills with 1+ years in staff supervision/project management.
· Willingness to travel extensively--positions may require 100% travel to client locations.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
· Physical stamina to lift up to 50lbs and work active, full shifts; flexibility to work mornings/evenings/weekends as needed.
· Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, OSHA, EPA compliance) and safety procedures.
· Ability to operate basic machinery (forklifts, scissor/boom lifts) and use relevant software for project management/documentation.
· Hospitality, restaurant, retail, or service-industry experience is highly desirable.

Requirements:
· Ability to willingness to travel up to 100%, including with limited or no advance notice. Ability to say multiple nights as needed, including weekends and holidays.
· Availability for emergency response outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required. Advance coordination of time off is expected.
· Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for an on-property hotel setting.
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and Real ID-compliant identification.
· Must be able to travel by personal vehicle, rental vehicle, and commercial air.
· Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and company policy.

Physical Demands:
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently (team lift up to 100 lbs.) and to perform physical tasks such as working with tools, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, squatting, or working in confined or elevated spaces.
· Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
