ESIS Senior IT Finance Business Analyst (Finance)



JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

ESIS is looking for a Business Analyst onsite to act as a liaison between the ESIS business team and IT to support, build, and enhance various ESIS Financial related Systems. The platform contains multiple proprietary and inhouse developed applications used by ESIS Financial team, Pricing Team, operations team, and Information technologists. ESIS team is envisioning and redefining the conventional manual efforts by automating the process and adopting modern technologies. Reporting to VP of ESIS Finance, this role will work closely with ESIS Finance staff, ESIS Business groups and ESIS Technology to understand / document business requirements, assist with converting those requirements to technical documents, create and manage the JiRA tickets, validate the development team efforts, test and deploy the changes in respective environments. This role will also analyze the data produced in multiple reports coming across multiple applications and make sure the accuracy of the report aligns with the ESIS Finance business needs. Working with the business, operations, IT and other partners, this individual will influence and guide other team members in defining standards and best practices for ESIS Financial and other products and will be a key participant in larger high-visibility projects, delivering high-impact information and insights to ESIS' clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with ESIS Finance to understand and develop the business requirements and formulate business solutions matching with the business needs.
  • Develop an understanding of all financial and managerial reporting requirements and how they ultimately align with the business' expectations.
  • Work with IT teams to convert business requirements to IT requirement documents and work with developers and technical professionals who may be geographically dispersed.
  • Create and Maintain JiRA tickets/board and track the activities for day-to-day activities and strategic developments.
  • Understand the current monthly and weekly reports, validate the accuracy of data produced from multiple systems and come up with the strategy to address any data discrepancies.
  • Gather ad-hoc data and report requirements by working with ESIS business members, work with IT to convert those requirements to IT technical documents, by referring the underlying database/field structures.
  • Lead investigation into production data issues (with assistance from IT staff) in ESIS Finance and Pricing area, quickly conduct initial investigation and propose the appropriate fix.
  • Engage in all the efforts across all Software Development Life Cycle - from requirement gathering, system design, build, quality test, deployment, and maintenance of mission critical ESIS Financial and other Systems
  • Conduct regular Steering Committee meetings by involving business users, IT developers and leadership. Assist with priority / goal setting on an ongoing basis.
  • Understand the current database models, different data storages and develop reports (Manual or Automated).
  • Work with geographically dispersed software development team members and engineers, as a Subject Matter Expert, to build quality software solutions aligned to architecture guidelines by adopting the best practices and principles.
  • Conduct hands on System Quality Testing and User Acceptance Testing of ESIS Applications.
  • Analyze and participate in the modernization efforts of existing ESIS Systems, by providing feedback obtained though analysis and evaluating the industry standards.
  • Demonstrate as a hands-on leader and influence other team members to achieve the desired results on time.
  • Monitor, report, analyze and propose solutions for production issues including performance issues of ESIS Applications
