Your Role: Sr. Statistician, R&D
As a Senior Statistician, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across R&D, including Regulatory Affairs, Data Management, Quality Assurance, and Clinical Development. You'll have the opportunity to contribute your individual expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation, while also mentoring and guiding other statisticians. Individuals in this position are recognized for their statistical expertise in one or more animal species and area of research (Vaccines, Parasiticides, Therapeutics). Your contributions will be crucial throughout the product development lifecycle, from study design to regulatory submission, allowing you to shape the future of animal health through cutting-edge research.
This position provides critical statistical support for global research and development studies, ensuring the successful registration of our innovative animal health products. You will:
Be a key contributor to the development of new products, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Provide expert statistical guidance on study protocols, statistical analysis plans, sample size calculations, randomizations, analyses, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal operating procedures, global regulatory standards, and statistical best practices.
Contribute to clinical study reports for pilot and pivotal studies.
Functions, Duties, Tasks:
Study Design and Protocol Development: Lead statistical aspects of study protocols, including experimental design, primary/secondary outcomes, randomization, sample size justification and statistics methodology. Collaborate with project teams on data collection activities.
Statistical Analysis and Reporting: Provide randomization schedules and sample size estimates. Conduct statistical analyses and deliver results in agreed-upon formats. Co-author study reports, communicating statistical findings.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Data Management and Clinical teams to ensure data quality. Contribute to manuscripts, regulatory submissions, and responses to regulatory queries. Effectively communicate statistical concepts by adapting communication style and language to both technical and non-technical audiences. Actively contribute to the interpretation of regulatory guidance for project teams, leading interpretation regarding aspects of a statistical nature.
Leadership and Innovation: Establish and manage project timelines for statistical deliverables. Contribute to and potentially lead the development and implementation of new statistical methods and study designs. Represent the statistics function in meetings and interactions with regulatory authorities.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
PhD, MSc, or MS in Statistics or Biostatistics (or a closely related field).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be engaging and able to build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):
Strong SAS programming skills.
A curious and inquisitive mindset, passionate about applying scientific knowledge to solve complex challenges in animal health.
Successful track record in licensing animal health products in the US or Europe.
Proficiency with R, Python, or JMP.
Experience or interest in applying adaptive design methodologies, machine learning (ML), and AI techniques to enhance statistical modeling and analysis.

Travel: Up to 10% annually
