Sr. Manager, Sales Development (Project Management)



Sr. Manager, Sales Development Manager

The Sr. Manager, Sales Development Manager (SMSD) is responsible for managing Sales Development Associates (SDAs) and Business Development Representatives (BDRs) while they are in the sales training program. They help to prepare them for a quota bearing sales position within the organization and as part of the sales training team they are part of the creation and facilitation of all sales training and development initiatives. The SMSD may also have management responsibility for sales trainers within the department.  

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible to managing Sales Development Associates (SDAs) and Business Development Representatives (BDRs) serving as the first point of contact for coaching, performance reviews, and approvals.
  • Conducts weekly learning and development reviews (1-on-1s) with their team members ensuring they are focused on their metrics and the efficient application of our sales methodology. 
  • Just-in-time engagement of internal resources such as Human Resources, Pre-Sales Engineering, Training Staff, and Sales Leadership.
  • Assists with the facilitation of on-boarding, continuing education, and performance management as necessary.
  • Proactively assesses and documents SDA and BDR performance to ensure individual excellence and provides real-time feedback.
  • May be tasked with managing Sales Trainers to help them to continue to development with in the Sales Training department.
  • Function as project lead for sales training specific projects and initiative. Including evaluation, implementation, training, and success reporting and assessments.
  • Facilitate weekly sales skill and systems training as needed. 
  • May be asked to assist with the recruitment and selection of SDA candidates.
  • Review activity reports, conduct departmental meetings, and represent the Sales Training department as directed.
  • Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create, deliver and evaluate continuing sales education. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years management experience, preferable in training or sales, required.
  • 3+ years of Training and Development experience. 

 

Bonus Points: 

  • Adult learning, Instructional Design and Program Development experience.
  • Learning Management System administration and multi-modal content development.
  • Personal technology sales experience. 

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree required.

 

Travel: 

  • 10%
