Finance Business Partner (3rd Party Manufacturing & Affiliate Sourcing) (Finance)

Job Description:

The Senior Finance Manager - 3rd Party Manufacturing & Affiliate Sourcing is a high-impact leadership role within Mars North America Pet Nutrition. This role serves as the strategic financial partner to the Third Party Manufacturing (3PM) function and Affiliate Sourcing activities, with responsibility for performance management, cost leadership, financial planning, and value creation. This Associate will also lead financial governance and forecasting for Affiliate Sales and Purchases, including Intercompany Pricing analysis and compliance.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (MBA/CPA preferred)
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, ideally in a supply chain or commercial finance environment
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control standards
• ERP system proficiency (SAP preferred)
• Demonstrated leadership and influence across cross-functional teams and external partners
• Strategic thinker with a strong bias for action and analytical rigor
• Proven ability to manage ambiguity and drive business results
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Strategic Finance Partnership: Provide strategic financial insight and partnership to the 3PM and Affiliate Sourcing teams, enabling informed decisions and driving operational excellence.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Own end-to-end financial planning cycles (annual plan, forecast, period close) for 3PM and Affiliate Purchase/Sales lines, ensuring data accuracy, actionable insights, and timely reporting.
• Affiliate Sales & Purchases: Lead forecasting, analysis, and intercompany pricing governance for affiliate transactions. Drive process improvements to ensure accuracy, alignment, and transparency. Ensure alignment to financial and cost drivers with Affiliate stakeholders.
• Vendor Management & Performance: Partner with Co-pack and Co-manufacturing vendors to drive alignment on financial KPIs, foster accountability, and enable cost-efficiency.
• Cost Optimization & Value Leadership: Deliver insights and actions to manage inflation, non-quality costs, waste, and broader cost levers across 3PM.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, contract reviews, and lease assessments. Proactively escalate risks or accounting matters to Controllership.
• Collaboration with Shared Services: Partner with Finance Operations and Accounting teams to ensure a high-quality period close with accurate results.
• Co-processing Authorizations: Lead financial reviews for co-processing business cases with regional/global stakeholders, ensuring alignment to strategic and financial goals.
• Standard Costing: Develop financial inputs into the annual standards process for 3PM-produced products.
• Make vs.Buy Evaluations: Conduct analysis and recommendations for internal vs.external production strategies.
• Digital & Process Transformation: Champion digital tools and process improvements to simplify financial reporting and enhance decision-making.
