Pay:Starting paying $15 per hour plus $500 sign-on bonus
Position Summary:
Fechheimer is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support order fulfillment and inventory operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, safety-focused, and eager to be part of a collaborative team. You'll play a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction by picking, packing, and shipping accurate orders on time.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will be required to...
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.
- Use handheld scanners or warehouse computers to process inventory transactions.
- Load, move, and stack pallets, lift and handle boxes and materials safely.
- Sort, count, and inventory incoming and outgoing merchandise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and report any concerns to leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete repetitive tasks consistently.
- Capacity to work independently or within a team.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus but not required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience using RF handheld scanners is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of 25-50 lbs.
- Use of ladders: Occasional climbing of ladders up to 8 steps (~6.5 feet high) required for picking or stocking inventory
- Positional: Frequent standing and walking.
- Gross Mobility: Climbing, frequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation.
