Assistant Professor of Instruction in German - World Languages (Finance)

The Department of World Languages at the University of South Florida, Tampa, is seeking candidates for an appointment to a nine-month, full-time, non-tenure-earning position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction, effective August 7, 2026. Minimum qualifications:

  • PhD degree from an accredited institution in German Studies or related field. Must meet university criteria for appointments to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
  • Advanced German language skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience teaching German language and culture at the university level.
  • Experience teaching asynchronous online German courses
  • Experience in organizing and conducting study abroad programs, co-curricular activities, and community outreach.
