Talent Acquisition Director (Finance)



Compensation Range:
$160,000.00 - $215,000.00 Annual Salary

Job Description:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Ensure a strong working relationship between the global Talent Acquisition team and the business exerting influence over how the business operates with the TA team
  • Ensure Swinerton is able to recruit strong talent at all levels for all needs
  • Ensure Talent Acquisition and Mobility strategies and practices are aligned with business needs and are executed such that they are yielding the intended business results - adjust course as needed
  • Apply expertise, knowledge of the business, and situation specific analysis to diagnose issues or identify opportunities and recommend innovative ideas and solutions
  • Coach, develop, and collaborate with the TA Management Team to execute most effectively on the needs of the business
  • Partner with the business to influence changes needed related to our TA processes, policies, and strategies - Provide executive-level advocacy for TA team needs and represent TA at leadership meetings
  • Partner with the business to ensure the TA team has what they need to maximize effectiveness
  • Facilitate strong relationships between the TA team and other Talent First / Corporate Responsibility leaders
  • Partner with the Talent Partners team and business unit leaders to design and maintain an effective short and long-term workforce planning strategy and approach
  • Support and collaborate with the TA Management team to oversee all areas of talent acquisition and mobility and bring new ideas for maximizing effectiveness - areas include:
    • College Recruiting
    • Craft Recruiting
    • Professional Recruiting
    • Candidate Sourcing
    • Job Advertising Strategy
    • TA Pipeline Management
    • Candidate Experience
    • Closing Talent
    • Talent Mobility
    • Recruiting Agency Strategy & Management
  • Partner with TA Management and business leadership to optimize our approach to interviewing, candidate assessment, and candidate selection
  • Ensure capability of the TA team to advise the business on candidate offer design and compensation considerations
  • Lead the design, strategy, and continuous improvement of company policies and programs that impact talent acquisition and mobility with feedback from the TA Management team and the business ( ex. Employee Referral Program, Employee Relocation Program, etc. )
  • Partner with other Talent First leaders to assist with M&A due diligence efforts related to talent assessment efforts
  • Provide feedback on the Employee Onboarding Experience
  • Provide feedback on the Internship Experience
  • Work with the TA Management team to provide feedback and advice on the design, management, and execution of the following as it pertains to our EVP and ability to attract strong talent:
    • Admin Employee Job Titles and Job Descriptions
    • Admin Employee Health & Welfare and Leave Benefits
    • Retirement Programs ( 401k, etc. )
    • Employee Wellness Programs ( assist with execution as requested )
    • Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives ( assist with execution as requested )
  • Facilitate partnership between TA and Marketing/Comms on the design and management of our digital talent brand ( Swinerton.com, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc. ) as well as talent-related Social Media Campaigns and Content
  • Develop and manage talent acquisition and mobility metrics and targets for the business ( key performance indicators ) and provide regular performance updates, analysis, and insights
  • Facilitate and lead TA team building and reflection opportunities
  • Be a thought leader on TA topics by participating in talent related professional organizations and attending relevant industry and talent related events
  • Maintain current understanding of the talent landscape in construction and relevant industry dynamics
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of a business and integrating talent acquisition strategies to meet the needs of that business
  • Experience with workforce planning, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring strong talent
  • Experience diagnosing talent acquisition and talent mobility issues and implementing solutions
  • Experience with defining and delivering talent acquisition metrics and data and drawing actionable insights from that information
  • A strong knowledge of current talent acquisition practices, trends, and new developments
  • Knowledgeable of compensation strategies, practices, and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and familiar with HR Information Systems
  • 15 years of experience in talent acquisition with at least 5 years acting in a TA leadership capacity
