Senior Application Developer (Hybrid - Cleveland, OH) (Finance)

Role Summary

Working in a team environment, the Senior Application Developer position will focus on web and desktop application development.  This role will be responsible for designing and programming internal applications in the areas of business process automation and customer service efficiency.  In addition, the developer will enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot our vendor-purchased core banking application.  Throughout, this role will involve mentorship of teammates, serving as a resource for process improvement and technical guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop web-based internal applications, primarily using low-code platform
  • Design and develop customizations to third-party core banking system application
  • Work closely with non-technical resources such as business analysts to define requirements and determine good solutions to business problems
  • Collaborate with business analysts and technical resources to maintain, update, and support current custom internal applications to ensure performance and minimal downtime
  • Implement and maintain interfaces to third-party systems; work closely with security, networking, and infrastructure teams to facilitate making calls to internal and external systems
  • Work closely with other IT groups such as infrastructure, network, and security to troubleshoot environmental issues
  • Create and maintain clear and succinct documentation; lead team in implementing documentation best practices
  • Lead strategy for source control best practices; mentor teammates in maintaining proper change management processes
  • Perform code reviews for team members, providing input on ways to improve coding practices
  • Work with business analysts and fellow developers to maintain and improve agile practices

Requirements

  • BA or BS in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in Information Technology
  • 8+ years' experience working in an Information Technology environment
  • 5+ years' experience working with C# .NET; web-site development experience using ASP.NET or other web technologies
  • Experience working with ‘low-code' development platforms is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar software
  • Good working knowledge of SQL Server or similar database platform
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality code and accurate communications
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, utilize time and resources effectively
  • Exceptional customer focus and dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; articulate ideas in a manner appropriate to target audience
