Job Description
Primary Function of Position:

This position has the opportunity to make a direct impact to Intuitive US marketing initiatives that deliver da Vinci Surgery to patients worldwide. With the direction and guidance of the US Clinical Marketing leaders, you will develop, drive, and support the US marketing efforts for Urology. You will have a particular focus on working with a cross-functional team of leaders to develop the market for and grow procedures with the use of the da Vinci Surgical System and its associated products (e.g. Vessel Sealer Extend, Force Bipolar etc.).

Through deep market insights and cross-functional collaboration, this leader will shape go-to-market strategies, drive surgeon engagement, and quantify the clinical and economic impact of clinical marketing initiatives in the US Urology business. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, commercial leader, and passionate advocate for clinical innovation who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.

Essential Job Duties:

The individual will be expected to establish strong relationships with marketing and sales teams, external Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), surgical society leaders, as well as internal ISI stakeholders such as other marketing departments, training, clinical affairs, legal, regulatory, and Market Access / Health Economics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that accelerate da Vinci adoption in urology, with a focus on da Vinci 5 and SP.
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative data and experiences to segment and deeply understand existing and new markets, the surgeon, their practice, the patient journey, and the clinical procedure steps.
  • Use market, customer, and competitive insights to develop differentiated value messaging (clinical, economic, operational) and compelling campaigns that drive measurable case growth.
  • Assimilate Urology market trends and their potential implications to current and future work/projects. Understand competition and develop competitive differentiation.
  • Contribute to budget, resource allocation and financial planning for projects / programs with measured ROI to justify through multiple marketing / media channels (webinars, sales collateral, etc.)
  • Identify, develop, and collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders to capture insights on da Vinci utilization and translate those into influential messaging that drives surgeon adoption and clinical impact.
  • Develop and build KOLs by market segment with the goal of making Intuitive the preferred industry partner.
  • Build relationships with key society members to establish a higher level of engagement to ensure Intuitive is seen as an integral collaborator when planning congresses and implementing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Academic & Society Marketing team to drive alignment with residency and fellowship programs, credentialing boards, and policy-shaping organizations.
  • Coordinate tradeshow activities, digital & website development, strategies, and tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.
  • Coach other Marketing colleagues in on-boarding, learning marketing standards, and growing their business acumen (clinical, hospital, or academic).
  • Collaborate with product portfolio and product management teams to align product development pipeline with market need.
  • Drive cross-functional teams including product marketing, digital marketing, customer training, market access, and commercial teams to deliver high value marketing projects and programs.
  • Deliver impactful presentations to senior and executive Intuitive leadership.
  • Be a market expert in the area of Urology - effectively leveraging the value propositions, approved claims, surgeon feedback, and sales input to maximize Intuitive's footprint and growth trajectory in this area.
  • Be a champion of the Intuitive culture; learning and embodying the company's individual expectations for success.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 12 plus years of marketing experience in a therapeutic medical device company preferred.
  • Proven ability to align diverse teams and use influence marketing strategies to drive business impact.
  • Results-driven attitude & a resolve to win; must be self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to solve open-ended problems and work cross-functionally to implement initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills, teambuilding, and relational skills to work across multiple constituents.
  • Bachelor degree required, MBA or Masters degree preferred.
  • Must be well versed in MS Office Suite.

Working Conditions:
  • Must be available to work full-time hours.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $187,500 USD - $269,700 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $168,700 USD - $242,700 USD
Shift: Day
Workplace Type: Remote - This job will be remote and/or the job is designed to be performed outside of the office. Employees will come onsite when requested by the leader. Apply
