Engineer Technician II (Finance)



Position: Prototype Engineering Technician II

Location: Boulder City, NV

Role Overview: As a Prototype Engineering Technician II at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in the development, enhancement, and validation of both prototype and production systems. In this capacity, your responsibilities will include assembling, diagnosing, repairing, and testing complex mechanical and electronic components that are critical to our engineering projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, troubleshoot, and repair intricate mechanical and electronic systems and equipment.

• Conduct comprehensive testing and calibration procedures to ensure mechanical and electronic components meet performance and engineering specifications.

• Provide technical support to engineering teams, facilitating rapid problem resolution and enhancing product development cycles.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate technical challenges, driving continuous product improvements and innovations.

• Engage in mechanical fabrication tasks, including machining, fabricating and assembly of prototype components, to support project requirements and timelines.

• Read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings to execute technical tasks accurately.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S, safety standards and best practices.

• Utilize computer systems and standard business applications (such as Microsoft Office Suite) for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.

• Additional tasks as assigned including HSE and facilities support

Reporting Line: You will report directly to the Senior Test Engineering Supervisor, playing a pivotal role in project success by ensuring that systems meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and functionality.

Assist in technical documentation, perform tests, and troubleshoot issues, ensuring project success and innovation.You will report directly to our Sr Test Engineer Supervisor and you'll work out of our Boulder City, NV location on a Onsite work schedule.MUST HAVE:

• Minimum of five years of experience in mechanical and electronic systems troubleshooting, repair, and fabrication.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical fabrication techniques such as machining, welding, and assembly.

• Comprehensive understanding of electronic components and systems.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings accurately.

• Proficiency in computer skills and standard business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) for effective documentation and communication.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in team settings.

• Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

• Must be flexible to work overtime and willing to travel to meet customer needs.
