Operational Risk, AVP (Finance)



Job Description: The Enterprise Resiliency Office has an opening for an Operational Controls and Risk, AVP on the Resiliency Reporting and Governance team. This role will assist with operational risk activities such as control testing and the issue management process. Candidates for this position should be interested in helping to grow the operational risk resiliency program within ERO.

Job Description:

  • Serve as the ERO partner/ point of contact for risks, controls, and issues within ERO and to various groups such as Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management and GTS counterpart teams.
  • Report on and Monitor the ERO Issue Management process, including Archer Finding record updates and reporting.
  • Oversee and support the ERO Archer risk taxonomy and control inventories as Co - Control Steward; self-testing of ERO owned controls; and function as an Archer expert.
  • Assist in the build out and maintenance of ERO risk management process flows.
  • Support and assist with control record additions and/ or updates to the ERO control inventory in Archer.
  • Co-Coordinate the Annual Control Certification process in Archer.
  • Perform targeted self-testing of ERO owned controls, including follow up with the team to develop action plans to remediate identified control issues.
  • Assist in coordination of and preparation for exams with Corporate Audit and Regulators
  • Support and assist in reviewing updates to existing or new Corporate Policies and Standards to determine control impact on ERO and necessary steps to comply.
  • Support any relevant management reporting efforts, including record retention inventory maintenance.
  • Participate in program planning and management, including assisting with the analysis of deliverables tracking, change requests, and reporting.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Participate in project meetings effectively with stakeholders of various levels across the firm.
  • Be willing to take on additional responsibilities as requested.

Education and Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business-related field, or relevant experience
  • 3 - 5 years' Experience across Operations, Risk Management and / or Audit roles
Additional requirements:
  • Industry specific certification such as a CIA, or Risk Management designation is a plus.
  • State Street experience is also a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in GRC tool - Archer and Excel, MS Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
