Job Description
Ensure Equipment, Fixture and Toolings are calibrated before their due date, according to current DOP to assure any Equipment, Fixture or Tooling are available for manufacturing or inspection of any accessories or products manufactured on the site. Executes Preventive Maintenance on time and according to SAP and/or Agile system. Support on Unplanned Maintenance on timely manner and escalate to Engineering any repair not covered by PMC documentation or MPI. Reports any equipment or fixture with low productivity to be evaluated or fixed.

Essential Job Duties

  • Safety: Follows GMPs and wears safety equipment to perform his/her endeavors
  • Participates on Safety commission when required and/or safety training
  • Utilize the correct tooling and equipment according to process or PMC requirement, reporting any condition of wear off or damaged tooling or equipment
  • Escalates any safety issues with supervisor or manager
  • Follows 5S methodology on his areas
  • Reports any safety device on equipment that is fault or is suspicious of been damaged
  • Quality: Performs PM or Calibration before it expires (due date) and records it's results on SAP
  • Utilize raw materials (when required) to check equipment, fixture or tooling performance
  • Follow up / fulfil EE's to be loaded into SAP system after PM or Calibration during unplanned PM or Calibration
  • Document and execute LOTO process during OOT events
  • Records Asset on SAP and label it, for any EFT after PM or Calibration is performed
  • Records on Quality Notifications that require an EE describing problem and verification results
  • Performs and records PM to equipment, fixture or tooling on any top level EFT and peripheral assets of such EFT
  • Efficiency: Provide support to external calibration services or suppliers explaining requirements or issues with EFTs under service or calibration
  • Requires ECOs to Engineering Department or QO Engineer to update or modify any PMC document that not comply current PMC activities or equipment use
  • Performs installation, diagnostic, repair and maintenance to process equipment, tooling or fixtures that procedures indicate it require
  • Update files with daily activities
  • Lead or participates on Continuous Improvement projects, kaizen or just do it events
  • Creates purchasing request (PR's) for spare parts
  • Escalates excessive consumption of spare parts
  • Cost: Sustain and maintain measurement equipment and tooling under his/her responsibility or ISI Property
  • Calculate spare parts over consumption due to uptime improvements or production incremental in number of cycles per equipment or more production lines
  • People: Study and records all assigned curriculum by ISU (Intuitive Surgical University)
  • Creates self evaluation for CIP and MERIT Follows ISI Politic, Rules and code of conduct
  • Provide support to production and/or Engineering during equipment and/or process validation
  • Productivity: Review and complete PM to EFT (Equipment, Fixture or Tool) before it's due date in SAP Realize PM or Calibration following EFT documentation in Agile
  • Supports unplanned PM documenting on EE
  • Comply with PM's and calibrations required on daily bases and defined cycle time
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proficient in reading and writing technical and administrative documents with accuracy and minimal support
  • Able to communicate verbally with internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders to support daily operations
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in preventive maintenance
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using instrumentation and measurement equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings and blueprints
  • Basic knowledge of electronics
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience diagnosing and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic equipment

Required Education and Training
  • High school diploma or equivalent; minimum two years of experience at Intuitive Surgical or relevant experience in Preventative Maintenance and Calibration. Additionally, a minimum of 1 year as a technician in good standing related to Manufacturing Attendance Guidelines and Quality performance is preferred.

Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs.

  • Ability to use clocks, timers, calipers, voltmeters, power supplies, rulers, and other test equipment as required
  • Meticulous attention to detail and orderly habits are required to accurately and completely document testing
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn new tasks, ability to take-on a variety of responsibilities big and small, and the need to fill-in for others when needed are highly preferred attributes for this position.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed.

Base Salary Range Region 1: $29 USD - $39 USD
Base Salary Range Region 2: $24 USD - $33 USD
