The position of Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Strategy is responsible for the development and implementation of innovative medical and clinical strategies for the Merz Therapeutics product portfolio. Based on a thorough understanding of the comprehensive science of Inbrija, Ampyra, and our neurotoxin product, incumbent will be responsible for defining medical strategies for life cycle management and executing strategic medical education programs. Responsible for Inbrija and Ampyra promotional review, collaborating on development of high-quality medical information and other scientific documents, and supporting and assisting with medical information fulfillment cross-coverage, vendor management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Lead the development and management of medical affairs initiatives related to Inbirja and Ampyra, including congress and publication support, advisory boards, and medical education.
Scientific and Medical Expertise
Serve as subject matter expert for Inbrija and Ampyra, guiding internal stakeholders and supporting the development of internal and external scientific communications that are accurate and balanced.
Deliver training on product and disease state knowledge to internal teams, including the MSLs and cross-functional partners.
Reviews all Inbrija and Ampyra materials for publications, and coordinate activities with publication/communication group.
Medical Review
Chair Inbrija/Ampyra Scientific Review Committee meetings and provide reviews for medical content (eg, scientific slides, manuscripts, external HCP-facing content, advisory board materials).
Represent medical affairs in cross-functional review committees, ensuring compliance and scientific integrity.
Medical Information Strategy
Ensure strategic alignment across medical information resources (e.g., SRLs, FAQs, clinical dossiers) in collaboration with medical information lead.
Conduct regular gap analyses of medical information needs within the therapeutic device or drug area.
Provide cross-coverage of medical information fulfillment activities as needed.
Medical Education Leadership
Provide strategic input on creation and delivery of internal and external medical education content, in collaboration with internal medical affairs partners.
Provide strategic and logistical support for hands-on workshops and educational events.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with regulatory, commercial, legal, and clinical teams to align on strategy and ensure consistent messaging.
Education
Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) - Required
Strong scientific background and proven ability to interpret scientific and study data - Required
Professional Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years pharmaceutical experience - Required
Medical affairs experience - Required
Therapeutic area experience - Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strategic thinker with excellent communication and soft skills - Required
English speaking with writing skills exemplary of excellent written and oral communication skills - Required

Knowledge of Methods
Possess excellent understanding of industry guidelines and standards around scientific medical writing - Required
Have an understanding or be familiar with function of Medical Affairs and associated guidelines - Required
Have an understanding or be familiar with Medical Information and corresponding service offerings in the pharmaceutical/medical device space - Required
Personal Skills
Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various scientific or HCP experts, review committee personnel and various stakeholders throughout the organization - Required
Ability to initiate/manage accurate, clear and timely communications to project team members in a respectful and professionally engaging manner - Required
Demonstrates positive interactions with others and conducts all work in an ethical manner - Required
