Federal Work Study Student Assistant – Communications and Program Support (Finance)



The Federal Work Study Student Assistant will support a variety of communications, administrative, and programmatic functions for USF Health International (UHI) and USF Medicine International (UMI). The student will assist in social media content creation, database maintenance, formatting reports, and preparation of program materials, contributing to the overall visibility and effectiveness of global health programs.Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must have a current 2025-2026 Federal Work Study (FWS) award to be considered for this position. Applicants are asked to demonstrate proof of their FWS award by printing their "Award Offer" screen from Student Self-Service.

Preferred Qualifications:
\n
• Must be a current USF student approved for Federal Work Study
\n • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
\n • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Canva or Adobe Express is a plus
\n • Interest in global health, public health, education, or international affairs
\n • Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
\n • Professionalism in communication and conduct when representing the department

- Draft and submit creative and accurate social media posts for UHI and UMI for supervisor approval prior to publishing.
- Maintain a content calendar that reflects global health campaigns, international partnerships, and institutional updates.
• Database Management
- Assist in updating and maintaining internal listserv databases
- Ensure contact lists are accurate and appropriately segmented for outreach.
• Annual Report Support
- Assist in formatting and assembling digital materials for the annual report.
- Coordinate with team members to gather program highlights, images, and narrative content.
• Program Logistics Support
- Print and organize certificates of participation for the observership program.
• General Administrative Support
- Carry out other duties as assigned, including research support, data entry, light graphic formatting, and coordination assistance. Apply
