Dentist - 1099 Contract (Project Management)



Dentist: Contract/1099 Opportunity

We are seeking to contract a Dentist in Chicago, IL to help ensure our service members get the best care possible. You will play a vital role in the continued care of these men and women, all while growing your current practice.

Your Role at Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska:

As a contracted Dentist with Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska a Leidos QTC Health Service affiliated professional corporation, you will conduct a variety of general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations including, but not limited to:

  1. Periodic Health Assessment (PHA)
  2. Pre-Deployment Assessment (Pre-DHA)
  3. Post-Deployment Health Reassessment (PDHRA, DD 2900)
  4. Other physical exams (some occupational exams)

The examinations may be completed in-person (in a clinic setting; whether it is your clinic, or our clinic), at large event settings for the Reserve Health Readiness Program.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Exam Indication: All Service members without a current dental exam within the past nine months will usually receive a new dental exam. 
  • Health History: Service member completes health history. 
  • Bitewing X-Rays: Taken with every dental exam. 
  • Blood pressure: Will be recorded for every dental exam. 
  • Panoramic X-ray (pano): No time requirement, to be taken if no pano is in the dental record, if significant change has occurred since the last one, or if deploying.
  • Dental Examination: Each Service member will be seen by a licensed dentist. 
    • Review of Health History and appropriate x-ray(s). 
    • Periodontal Screening and Recording (PSR). 
    • Charting of all dental disease. Classification designated. 
    • Original exam documents entered into Service member's record.
  • Exam QA: Dental exams and ancillary documents are shipped to RHRP and reviewed. After review completed documents are mailed back to Service Member's (SM) Medical Unit 
  • Digital Storage: All copies of records are digitized and stored within the dental system of record.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience.
    • Proficient in using computers/tablets, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and basic software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Certification:
    • Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice
  • Clearance:
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain government clearances (LARS, Public Trust, NACI, BGI, etc.) as required.

Preferred:

  • Professional experience related to Compensation and Pension Examinations is preferred but not required.
  • Experience conducting occupational/disability medical examinations

Work Schedule and Compensation:

  • Location: Chicago, IL
  • Flexible Schedule: Appointments are typically scheduled approximately 5 to 7 days of notification. You set the pace and frequency!
  • Compensation: Compensation will be provided for each examination, with payment determined based on the specific requirements and type of examination performed.

Additional Information:

  • Provider must complete required online training courses, up to 9 courses at approx. 10.5 hours total. 
  • You will be given access to the Provider Liaison (PL) department; this department assists with any issues, questions, or needs you may have while contracted with Leidos QTC Health Services.
  • Leidos QTC Health Services will run a 7-year criminal history and sex offender background check.
  • Once the BGI and credentialing have been completed, the Provider will be required to obtain CPEP Certification (approx.10.2 hours/depending on specialty)
