We are currently collecting resumes for a future job opening - MS Power Apps Developer! OSS is seeking a Microsoft Power Apps Developer to support our valued government customers. The work is based out of Huntsville, AL, and is anticipated to be hybrid telework/onsite, but may eventually be 100% onsite given the current Return to Office trend. The Power Apps Developer will help our team fully exploit the Power App platform, as well as Power Automate and Power BI, leveraging Microsoft 365 SharePoint lists and libraries to provide and support capable, reliable, and intuitive solutions for our customers. This individual should be experienced in translating raw customer requirements into fully functioning solutions that meet or exceed those requirements, to include the associated requirements verification, development, test, user acceptance, deployment, training, and sustainment activities. The primary focus will be automating government business processes, to include project, acquisition, funding, and schedule processes and related data. The user interfaces developed must both provide intuitive data management features, as well as meaningful visualizations of business data for utilization by customer senior management and functional leads.

Primary Duties:
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Power App and Power Automate-based applications, in the government's Microsoft 365 environment
  • Gather, maintain, and automate customer requirements into reliable and intuitive solutions
  • Debug/troubleshoot code to ensure reliability
  • Support deployed solutions and the users involved

Secondary Duties:
  • Collaborate with other OSS developers on Power App solutions for other customers, sharing lessons learned
  • Assist with potential AI-related solutioning for existing and new Power App applications
  • Develop training materials and train users on solutions

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 4 years web application development experience
  • User interface development and data visualization
  • Debugging / Troubleshooting
  • Ability to understand and automate customer requirements
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Effective working both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to attain Secret Security Clearance (required before starting)

Preferred Experience and Technical Skills:
  • 2 years programming experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Power BI
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Database design and stored procedure development
  • Process analysis and process automation

Preferred Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • CompTIA certification in Data , Security , or Microsoft development-related certification
