The Quality Engineer provides quality/regulatory support for the Paris Plant's core quality systems and improving those systems to deliver business results. They lead and support quality tasks such as change management, investigation and resolution of product and material QNC events, CAPAs, consumer complaints, manufacturing data analysis, risk management, quality protocol/process validation, and routine problem-solving.

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate safety as a value by performing all job functions safely while also complying with corporate policies and department procedures in an effort to reduce risk and eliminate loss.
  • Support the Paris Plant's core quality systems (Internal/External Audits, CAPA, QNC, Document Control, Change Control, Training, Post Market Surveillance, Supplier Quality Management) and build capability for others working in those systems.
  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
  • Ensure that established manufacturing inspection, sampling, and statistical process control procedures are followed as applicable
  • Maintain and demonstrate a high degree of knowledge and skill in product forms, quality systems, processes, and regulations; Execute continuous improvement activities for established processes and initiate/support development of new processes.
  • Act as an ambassador for the quality department while promoting strong adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, and other quality standards.
  • Effectively and efficiently contribute to the achievement of plant objectives; Drive sharing and collaboration with peers across Kimberly-Clark North America.
  • Promote strong quality by effectively communicating to plant personnel the value, use, and benefit of control policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality performance through personal example by adopting a customer-based philosophy in the level of service provided.
  • Communicate fully with leaders, peers, employees, and other stakeholders.

In one of our professional roles, you'll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (typically science or engineering-related) and 3+ years of related experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Research.
  • Experience should include technical quality skills in at least two of these areas: CAPA/problem-solving, applied statistics, validation, risk management/FMEA, change management, design controls, supplier quality management, and/or demonstrated application of LEAN/Continuous Improvement skills; Working knowledge and experience with regulated consumer products and/or medical devices requiring compliance to various regulatory or other technical requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the work time. 
  • Work is completed in a high-speed manufacturing facility which can include exposure to dust, heat, noise, and moving machinery. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when appropriate (may include safety glasses, ear protection, hair nets, beard bags).
  • Experience with EtQ, SAP, and/or Workday is preferred.
  • A recognized quality management certification, such as: Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, or a LEAN Six Sigma certification is preferred.

Grade 11/P1: Grade level and/or compensation may vary based on location

Salary Range: 78,660 – 92,980 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
