Strategic Account Executive (Project Management)



SUMMARY
The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) focuses on developing and securing relationships with identified Key and Strategic Accounts, ensuring alignment between client needs and the organizations offerings. The SAE serves as the primary point of contact for key clients, facilitating communication and collaboration between clients and internal teams. This role requires an expert understanding of products, services, and applications, as well as a deep knowledge of the client's business landscape, challenges, and strategic goals. The SAE is responsible for driving revenue growth, mitigating risks, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective relationship management and strategic account planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Relationship Management and Strategic Planning:
Building Strong Relationships: Establish rapport, trust, and credibility with key clients through regular communication, meetings, and personalized interactions. Act as a bridge between the client and the organization, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed effectively. Coordinate with client-facing team members to ensure seamless client execution and transparency.Understanding Customer Needs: Gain deep insights into the clients business objectives, challenges, and pain points. Use this understanding to tailor solutions and offerings that align with the clients strategic goals.Strategic Account Planning: Develop and continuously evolve strategic account plans, outlining objectives, goals, and action steps to maximize value and achieve mutual success. Adjust plans based on changing client needs and market conditions.
Revenue Generation and Risk Management:
Driving Revenue Growth: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding the organizations footprint within key accounts. Propose value-added solutions leveraging industry trends and the clients business landscape.Sales and Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, pricing, and agreements, ensuring a win-win approach that meets both customer expectations and business objectives. Maintain a strong sales pipeline and cultivate key customer relationships.Risk Management: Proactively identify and address potential risks, such as competitive threats and market fluctuations. Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity and mitigate execution gaps.
Collaboration, Communication, and Support:
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including Operations, Growth & Strategy, and Product Technology, to deliver value to key accounts. Facilitate cross-functional teamwork to ensure a cohesive client-servicing approach.Customer Support and Availability: Provide prompt customer service and support, addressing both internal and external needs swiftly. Be available to travel as necessary to meet business and customer requirements.Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the key point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between the organization and internal teams.
Reporting and Insights:
Reporting: Deliver regular reports, updates, and forecasts to management, providing transparency into account progress, opportunities, and challenges. REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred.5+ years of applicable industry experience.In-depth understanding of specialty chemical products, applications, and industry trends.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams and coordinating information transfer.Proficient in applications used for data analysis, reporting, and effective communication.
